TangoTab

"WHEN YOU EAT, THEY EAT."

When Andre Angel took his kids to volunteer at a food pantry near their home in 2011, he had no idea how close to home the experience would truly hit. After seeing how many everyday people rely on food charities to make ends meet, Andre went on a mission to end hunger founding TangoTab. TangoTab is a fun, simple way to help solve a big problem. With a staggering statistic of over "46 million Americans going to bed hungry every night, and over 1 billion meals dined out each week" Andre figured out how to change the statistic by starting TangoTab.

TangoTab is an app that allows people to play a vital part in the hunger epidemic. TangoTab connects local food organizations in your area to those in need by donating the cost of a meal every time you check-in at participating restaurants through the app. Click here for a quick glimpse into how TangoTab gives.

Live Full came across TangoTab through an Instagram post back in August right after Hurricane Harvey. Like any great organization would do, TangoTab brought the community together helping donate food and thousands of other items to victims. With their heart to serve we knew this was an organization and idea we could get behind. We have used the app at several local and chain restaurants. It literally takes about three seconds to check-in and boom you've helped someone in need. You can even challenge friends by seeing who can feed the most people!

Use the invite code BFETPJ to signup for TangoTab app and feed 5 people in need by clicking here.

Feed The City

Feed The City is a community event launched by TangoTab in 2015. Every month in cities around the country people gather together making hundreds, sometimes thousands of sandwiches for people in need. These meals are donated to a local food charity to distribute. Through Feed The City, individuals help make an impact in their own community.

While there are monthly events in cities like Dallas, Houston, Tulsa, and DC to name a few many individuals/groups are hosting one-time popup events at their churches, jobs, and colleges. The possibilities are endless and TangoTab even has people in place to help you get started. The key is to create a fun, family friendly atmosphere that makes an impact and people all over the US are doing just that.

People have made over 1 million meals and counting at Feed The City events with no plans of stopping anytime soon! Want to join in? We thought so! Click below.
